William Shakespeare's Star Wars, by Ian Doescher

Rating: 3/5
172 pages
2013
Publisher: Quirk Books
Source: Library book

Description: Star Wars IV: A New Hope rewritten in the style of Shakespeare.

Review: Honestly, there's really not much to say. It delivers exactly what it says it will: Star Wars, rewritten in Elizabethanesque dialog.

The one issue I had with the writer's decisions is, that I don't believe Shakespeare would have had Greedo shoot, even if who shot first is left ambiguous. Other than that, it was amusing.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. If it sounds like the type of thing you'll probably enjoy, there's a good chance you will, just don't expect to be howling with laughter either.
