Description: A sheep detective story. What more needs saying?

Review: It's not every day a book that starts with a dead body, with a spade shoved into it, can be accurately described as adorable and hilarious. This book manages that.

The sheep are wonderful characters and watching them try to understand humans, as they searched for the killer of their beloved shepherd, was a delight. I did have an easier time figuring out who done it, but I'm not a sheep.

My one problem with the book was, due to the nature of the investigators, the book relies a tad too much on having one of the sheep just happening to be in the right place, at just the right time, to overhear an important conversation. But, really, I was having too much fun reading it to care.
